International Certificate in Digital Literacy

ICDL Foundation is an international organization dedicated to raising digital competence standards in the workforce, education and society. ICDL certification programmes, delivered through an active network in more than 100 countries, enable individuals and organizations to assess, build and certify their competence in the use of computers and digital tools to the globally recognized ICDL standard.

ICDL is the world’s leading computer skills certification. To date, more than 15 million people have engaged with the ICDL programme, in over 100 countries.

At Nu Vision High School, ICDL Modules are taught in Grade 7 (Year 8) and Grade 8 (Year 9). At the completion of these modules, students have a strong basic understanding about Computers, their application and usage.

  • In Grade 7 (Year 8), students learn the basic architectures of Computers, how they operate and an introduction to programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Browsers.
  • In Grade 8 (Year 9), Students efficiently Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Online Essentials and Computer Essentials
